Female Granok "Medic" WIP2

I had a little bit of time tonight to work on my Granok piece. I was pretty lost from my earlier sketch, and couldn't really figure out what piece was what, and so I just went for armor asymmetry. I didn't clean the lines up much, just gave them a bit of cleaning and then applied some flat colors. I started with some really odd colors. I started with sky blue, the current orange, lime green and a rosy purple. I've been a little sleep deprived all day... feeling a bit like I'm stuck on a wall. Anyways.. I got the colors a little more in line. I'll see what I can do with this later. I don't care too much about the ugly lines, as I'll probably paint over them.
(the two color choices I've left off with for the Female Granok "Medic" fanart piece)

Recursion - ..going back to simple

Over the weekend I did a lot of sketching and studied a few different styles that I haven't really tried or followed-thru-with before. It really helped to look at and simplify stages of my drawing process, and consequently since, I haven't gotten stuck as much. The biggest help recently has been the fact that I picked up my sketchbook again and started doing actual non-digital sketches and drawings.

Characters & Sketchy Lines

Hello, I'm just adding some drawings, just to keep myself posting regularly so I have a commitment. With the above drawing I was attempting at drawing an original character, which is something I haven't really done before. The rest are personal projects and some WildStar Cassian fanart WIP. The last image was a clothing study that turned into a "How-to-draw Boobs Wrong"-drawing. :P

Learning about Animation

Let's see... I started learning about animation... :D I've had Flash for 4 years now and I did not know how to use it really. Here's my first animation using Adobe Flash CS4.

Forty individual frames of simple shapes took me about 15-20 minutes. The whole thing is about 95 frames I think. By my estimates, an actual decent animation of the same length would take about 1-2 full work week(s). :o

After I drew a really wonky cartoon face I drew this, so it's one of my first free-hand Flash drawings. This was what I originally first tried to animate.. ahem.. too many lines!
